CETIS Software Features
CETIS is fully customizable, from user-definable lists such as sample material types, test species or test protocols, to designing entirely new test layouts and endpoints. Although CETIS ships with an extensive set of default lists, test types, endpoints and TACs, they can be edited or created to meet very specific requirements.
CETIS provides three types of quality control plots including the Levey-Jennings (Shewhart type), Cumulative Mean and Cusum plots. Intra-laboratory plots (i.e., single lab data) or inter-laboratory plots (i.e., multiple lab data) can be generated for any point estimate, NOEL, LOEL, PMSD or control response. Plots of effluent data can also be generated for visualizing trends or demonstrating treatment efficiency over time.
User-definable Test Acceptability Criteria (TAC) can be applied to any test type, and may include limits set for control response, control CV, PMSD, NOEL or LOEL. Criteria can also be specified for any test measurement such as temperature, pH, salinity, etc.
CETIS provides a serial port reader that allows you to interface your probes, mass balances, and other measuring instruments directly to the CETIS data entry screens. This feature can eliminate data entry errors and substantially speed the process of taking and recording measurements.
The CETIS WET Evaluation report is a special type of report that assesses a WET (Whole Effluent Toxicity) test for compliance with established IWC (Instream Waste Concentration) criteria and test acceptability criteria. CETIS considers the WET test regulatorily significant if the calculated index of toxicity (e.g., TOEL, LOEL, ECp) is less than or equal to the permitted IWC. In the case of the NOEL, CETIS considers the WET test regulatorily significant if the NOEL is less than the supplied IWC. A cover letter can also be generated and standardized text can be stored and used selectively based upon the findings of the evaluation. A company or agency logo can also be stored and placed at the top of the cover letter.
Networking & File Sharing
The file-server architecture lends itself to simultaneous use in multi-user environments. For instance, licensed copies of the application can be distributed among multiple workstations, while the server-based database can be shared among all of the workstations. In a single-user environment, the application and database may simply co-exist on a single workstation. CETIS implements user level security features supported by Microsoft Access, therefore database administrators can control and manage access to either the CETIS application or the CETIS database.
CETIS provides an easy to use system for exporting and importing records from one CETIS database to another. These tools play a critical role in facilitating the exporting of records to a central authority that intends to maintain a "master" copy of a CETIS database.
