Current known issues & fixes

Start here: most problems trace to a Windows, Office, or licensing-service change, each with a step-by-step fix below.

Faulty Microsoft 365 Update

Major printing problems and bizarre font rendering

An August 2026 (and later) Microsoft 365 update has broke Access. This is unrelated to CETIS.

The fix

The only fix as of now is to downgrade to v2605 from July 2026. Before you install a newer version, make sure Microsoft has fully addressed the problem.

Microsoft 365

Blank analysis forms and no results

An April 2025 (and later) Microsoft 365 update disables ActiveX components, including the TChart plotting control.

The fix

Re-enable it in Access: Options → Trust Center → Trust Center Settings → “Prompt me before enabling all controls with minimal restrictions” → OK, then restart.

Licensing · WMI

“License expired” message

CETIS relies on the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service to verify the machine; if WMI is disabled, login fails.

The fix

Re-enable it: run services.msc, set Windows Management Instrumentation to Automatic, start the service, and restart.

Licensing · Wizard

License Wizard won’t open or activate

The fix

Confirm your administrator allows Trusted Locations for the CETIS directory and that Windows Defender isn’t blocking QlmLicenseWizard.exe.

Legacy issues (Windows XP/Vista/7, Access 2007, graphs32.ocx, workgroup .mdw) are archived; contact support for legacy guidance.
